Streaming Audio (Subscription Resources)

These are streaming audio services available to PLU students, faculty, and staff. Both Music Online and Naxos allow you to search by composer, artist, work title, or genre; create playlists to share with your students or friends; and listen online from anywhere in the world.
- Music Online (Alexander Street)
Music Online from Alexander Street Press includes Classical Music Library, American Song, Contemporary World Music, Jazz Music Library, and Smithsonian Global Sound. Search these services individually, or all together. Music Online also includes the Classical Scores Library and classical and jazz reference resources. - Naxos Music Library
Naxos Music Library and Naxos Music Library Jazz is a collection of over 800,000 tracks of classical music, jazz, folk music, and popular song. In addition to the complete Naxos and Marco Polo catalogs, NML includes music from almost 400 other record labels. The library also includes work analyses and even opera synopses and libretti.

Streaming Video (Free Resources)
From TED Talks to music videos, there's a wealth of free video on the Web--even if you don't count Youtube. Here are some of the best.
- MIT World: Presentations on a huge range of topics by MIT faculty and invited guests going all the way back to 2001. MIT World events, student videos, MIT Media Lab, artistic performances, and lectures on engineering, robotics, and physics are just some of the things you'll find here.
